Legal studies provides students interested in a career in law an opportunity to acquire the wide range of intellectual skills essential for academic success in law school. The goal of legal studies is not to train lawyers but to help students develop the highly sophisticated writing, analytical, and critical skills that law schools demand.

学生 in legal studies complete the interdisciplinary program of 20 credits that they satisfy while fulfilling the requirements of a traditional liberal arts major. By requiring students to take courses outside of their own field of study, the legal studies minor exposes them to academic methodology and critical approaches not inherent to their own disciplines, strengthens their writing and analytical skills, and broadens the base of their academic 经验 in preparation for law school or other legally 相关的职业. What Will You Do?
The legal studies minor is designed to introduce students to different ways of thinking about the law and the legal field. Each student takes two core courses, PLS 204: Law and Society and PLS 250: Legal Writing and Advocacy in the Courts both of which are taught by adjunct professors who are professionals in the legal field. The legal studies minor is a good fit for students who are considering going to law school and pursuing a career in legal studies.

Johns Hopkins Carey Business School 4+1 BA/MS Program
云顶集团 College and Johns Hopkins Carey Business School are offering 云顶集团 students a combined bachelor’s and master’s degree program. 这 4 + 1项目 combines a bachelor’s degree from 云顶集团 with a master of science degree from Johns Hopkins in business analytics and risk management, information systems, health care management, finance, or marketing. 学生 can apply during their junior year. GRE考试 or GMAT tests have been waived but applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better and have passed some quantitative reasoning courses with a grade of B或更好.
